About the event

I serve on the Board of JCADA (the Jewish Coalition Against Domestic Violence). The organization provides free, life-saving, culturally-sensitive, and trauma-informed services to anyone and everyone in the DMV area--regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or gender. In the words of JCADA, EVERYONE DESERVES TO BE SAFE. In addition to serving on the Board, I am also the co-chair for an important upcoming event.

JCADA is showcasing a short fictional film, The Last Drop. This movie highlights the early signs of relationship abuse and serves as a catalyst for important conversations to have with teens and young adults about what love is NOT. The project aims to show young people (and those who care for them) what abuse looks like before it turns violent. The event is open to adults and FREE for young adults (ages 14-18). As a survivor of IPV, I wish I had an event like this to educate me on the 'red flags' of abusive relationships. You can purchase tickets here, with all proceeds going towards JCADA's FREE services.

If you cannot make the event, please consider making a donation. There are three easy ways to support JCADA's work:

· One-Time Donation (always appreciated)

· JCADA Hero (monthly contribution supporting sustainability efforts of the organization)

· Survivor Gift Card (provides immediate clothing, food, gas, and more to individuals and families fleeing unsafe environments)
